Custom FurnitureThe Meher Collection
Heritage. Artistry. Soul.
The Meher Collection is a refined expression of Jodhpur’s architectural legacy, drawing direct inspiration from the towering ramparts, carved portals, and delicate stone lattices of Mehrangarh Fort. Rooted in tradition yet composed for contemporary interiors, the range celebrates the enduring beauty of handcrafted furniture shaped by time, culture, and skilled human hands.
Each piece in the collection is meticulously handcrafted from a curated blend of old teak and reclaimed mixed wood. The timber is carefully seasoned, preserving its natural grain, tonal variation, and subtle imperfections—elements that lend every piece a distinct identity. Hand-carved medallions, florals, and scrollwork form the visual language of the range, finished with a soft indigo wash reminiscent of Jodhpur’s weathered blue facades. A natural-aged surface treatment enhances the tactile warmth of the wood and allows the furniture to mature gracefully with use.
Material & Craftsmanship
The Meher Collection is defined by its authenticity of material and depth of craft. Seasoned old teak and reclaimed wood form the structural foundation, chosen not only for strength and longevity but for the character embedded within each grain. Artisans hand-carve every motif individually, applying a muted indigo patina that evokes the faded doorways and windows of the old city. The final finish is intentionally rustic—warm, matte, and organic—designed to develop further richness over time.
Product Range
Beds & Bedside Units
The Meher Bed serves as the anchor of the collection, featuring a solid, balanced frame that highlights intricately carved headboard and footboard panels arranged in a rhythmic floral sequence. Paired with it, the Meher Bedside is compact and purposeful, featuring a single carved door that mirrors the language of the bed while offering discreet storage.
Sideboard Series
The sideboards are among the most versatile pieces in the range, available in multiple configurations. The two-door variant suits entryways and compact living spaces, while the four-door sideboard makes a commanding statement with ample storage and a robust top surface. The four-door version with a central open arched shelf is designed for display, offering a curated balance of concealed storage and open presentation.
Wardrobe & Bookshelf
The Meher Wardrobe is tall and architectural, composed of multiple carved panels that echo the vertical grandeur of fort walls. It brings a sense of permanence and scale to the bedroom or dressing area. The Meher Bookshelf combines open shelving with carved side panels, offering visual structure while maintaining an airy, approachable presence.
Display Unit & Mirror Frame
The display unit introduces a slightly lighter silhouette with slender legs and subtle curves, blending the collection’s indigo carvings with a restrained, colonial-era influence. The mirror frame is crafted from thick carved teak, transforming a functional mirror into a statement reminiscent of a traditional jharokha, adding depth, reflection, and architectural character to any space.
Styling the Meher Aesthetic
The Meher Collection pairs best with interiors that respect texture, material honesty, and muted earth tones. Lime-plastered or araish-finished walls in sandy neutrals provide a soft backdrop, while terracotta tiles or distressed dark wood flooring ground the space. Hand-block printed dhurries, linen throws in indigo, ochre, and terracotta, and accents such as antiqued brass lamps, clay pottery, and natural grasses complete the look with understated warmth.
The Meher Collection is not simply furniture—it is a continuation of heritage, thoughtfully reinterpreted for modern living.
