Custom FurnitureWhich wooden mandir suits your space?
| If you need… | Consider | What to check |
| A small prayer space on an existing table or shelf | Devdeep Compact Pooja Mandir | Its 15″ width and 12″ depth fit your surface, and you have enough height for the 24″-tall mandir. |
| A taller mandir with idols visible when the doors are closed | Divine Pooja Mandir | You have space for its 32″ width, 18″ depth and 54″ height, plus room to open the doors. |
| A taller mandir with more enclosed storage | Aaradhya Pooja Mandir | The same 32″ × 18″ footprint fits, and four drawers would make daily use easier. |
Choosing a small mandir for home
“Small” can mean a narrow footprint, a shorter height, or simply a mandir that does not dominate the room. Measure all three dimensions before deciding. Devdeep is the compact option in this collection: at 24″ high, 15″ wide and 12″ deep, it is designed for a tabletop, shelf or small pooja corner. Its open arch keeps the prayer space accessible, while the drawer gives incense and other small items a place of their own.
If you plan to place a mandir on furniture you already own, check that the surface is stable and deep enough for the full base. Measure the idols, thali and any lamp you intend to use together; the outside dimensions alone cannot tell you whether everything will fit comfortably inside.
Open design or a mandir for home with doors?
This is a practical choice as much as a visual one. An open mandir gives you direct access for daily prayer and works well when you prefer to leave the prayer space visible. Glass doors let you see the idols while the mandir is closed; Divine pairs them with a dome-style top and a drawer. Lattice doors give Aaradhya a more detailed wooden front, with four drawers underneath for separating prayer essentials. Compare the product photos and confirm the internal space you need before ordering.
Do not leave a lit diya or burning incense unattended. Allow the flame and incense to go out and cool before closing any mandir doors.
Why choose a sheesham wood mandir?
A mandir is handled every day: drawers are opened, doors are moved and surfaces are cleaned after prayer. Solid sheesham wood gives these designs a substantial frame and visible natural grain. At Induscraft, the material is also part of the look: the clean arch on Devdeep, framed glass doors on Divine and carved lattice work on Aaradhya each use the wood differently.
Natural grain and colour variation are part of solid wood, so look through the product images and finish options rather than expecting every piece to have an identical pattern. For routine care, remove dust with a soft cloth and wipe spills promptly. Keep heat and moisture from sitting directly on the finished surface; each product page has its specific care instructions.
Frequently asked questions
Measure the available width, depth and height first, then measure the tallest idol and the items you use during prayer. Devdeep’s external size is 15″ W × 12″ D × 24″ H. Divine and Aaradhya are each listed at 32″ W × 18″ D × 54″ H. Also allow space in front for comfortable use and for the doors on the enclosed designs to open.
Aaradhya has four drawers. Divine and Devdeep each have one. Choose based on what you actually store - such as incense, cotton wicks, prayer books or spare supplies - rather than the drawer count alone.
If the listed dimensions or design do not suit your space, share your measurements and requirements through Induscraft’s custom furniture page. Discuss the intended design, material, dimensions and delivery details before placing a custom order.
